I am not sure if you are still blogging ...Hi Paul,

I am not sure if you are still blogging (as I see this post was written few years ago) but thought I might ask you for some advice on a similar matter. I purchased an iPhone 4S from Vodafone about 18 months ago. Two weeks ago, the touchscreen became unresponsive (completely out of the blue - no damage was done to the phone, it just stopped working one night) so I took it to a local Apple store. They said that it was a manufacturing fault, and that I should make a claim to the retailer as I would be entitled to the consumer protection provided by the EU law provisions. I took it to Vodafone, and a manager actually said that the repair would be free of charge if it was a manufacturing fault (looking back, I think they just wanted to get rid of me because, as a law student who's been studying EU law and SGA 1979 in depth, I started talking about my rights). I then received an email from Vodafone today that I would have to pay 150 pounds for the repair. Basically, I am about to go through a similar process, and I was wondering whether it would be better to directly email the CEO first rather than writing another saga. This whole blame-shifting thing by Vodafone is really starting to annoy me! Really don't know why I am still using Vodafone after the s**t it has created for my mum few years ago. I would be really grateful if you could reply asap so that I can take the best course of action!

Regards,

DKAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11876212847078364429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8229888420873714215.post-90887565400040748782011-11-16T21:38:46.670+00:002011-11-16T21:38:46.670+00:00Dr Morgan, 6 years ago I had a royal fight with Vo...Dr Morgan, 6 years ago I had a royal fight with Vodafone over an excessive and patently incorrect data roaming bill. It took a registered letter to the then CEO which I copied to the rest of the board and the consumer rights editor of tthe Sunday Times to get the issue resolved.

We, the public, are idiots to allow large corporations to behave like this.

Well done on a satisfactory resolution.dmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12915144920933161593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8229888420873714215.post-64367844598301600772011-08-19T09:17:40.337+01:002011-08-19T09:17:40.337+01:00Oi!
